I recieved a wonderful email from a dear friend today. She reminded me to be thankful for my time here- and that God can and WILL use this time to help me grow. There is still so much to be learned- even in three weeks! I'm also thankful that three weeks is all I have left; that I am able to be close to my honey and my family for the holidays; that very, very soon I will be back where I belong and ready to invest in the community there. For these things, I am so thankful.
I am also thankful for friends to remind us of these things just when we need a gentle push to get through to the end.

That's something Court and are in the process of learning--embracing this season and what God has to teach us in this time apart. It's a good thing to go through. And, incredibly hard as you know ;). You're almost done!!
Ms. Mullen,
Although I haven't commented on your blog yet, I (and my wife & two kids) keep tabs on you by checking your site occassionally. And just so you know, you and your man regulary make it into my 3 year old daughter's nightly prayers (not by my prompting, but by the One who lives in her heart). Just wanted you to know that we have been thinking and praying for both you and your main squeeze.
We also empathize deeply with your longing for "home" in the Star City. Maybe someday our paths will meet up there again. Maybe someday soon... ;)
Have a blessed Christmas season,
tkc
p.s. Will miss seeing you at this year's company Holiday party.
